How We Work

About Us

Collection/Post Information

Do you collect my goods?

We like to collect all smaller, postable items, as once sold we need them at hand for swift packaging and dispatch. Larger items such as furniture, we’ll photograph in situ and have the buyers collect directly from you.

We can remove and store your larger pieces for you, as sometimes it’s not possible or suitable for collections to take place from our client’s property. We do pass over removal and storage costs for that service, in addition to our usual fees for selling. Please ask us for a removal quote – we’ll always strive to keep these costs to a bare minimum to maximise your sales’ profits.

Who collects, who posts?

We’ll email you the results of your sales once they’ve ended, along with links to their final sale pages from eBay for your records.
We’ll typically have all postable items in our possession as the sales conclude, so the moment the buyers have paid us for the goods, we’ll ship them out right away. Fear not, we do all the packing and posting so there’s no brown tape or boxes anywhere apart from with us.
Regarding any larger goods in your possession, we’ll have the buyers contact you to arrange a suitable time to collect.

Who sets the prices?

We’ll appraise your items for you, suggesting what we believe to be the best selling strategies for your goods, to maximise their selling prices. Different items often demand tailored selling approaches – we know how to get you the very BEST selling price for your goods.

When do I get paid?

Once items have sold, buyers generally pay us for the goods over eBay. Sometimes they’ll bring cash when they collect from you. Once dispatched or collection has taken place, we’ll simply send you the money from the sales, minus any fees. When cash has been received by clients, we’ll simply deduct that from the pay out so all funds are balanced.

Can you buy my goods?

Yes we can. Sometimes we are asked if we can simply purchase goods from our clients for their ease, and sell them ourselves afterwards. Yes we can offer that service, however are open in saying that it might not be the most economical method of disposal for you, as we do need to factor in our own removal/storage costs, and margins for reselling items. Please do ask us for a price and we’ll do our very best to offer you a very healthy sum.

Prices/Payment Information

eBay or tradtional auction house?

Very often clients aren’t aware of the scope of what can actually be sold on eBay. The eBay marketplace is enormous and varied. It’s not confined to who might be in a specific room on a specific day, as it has a truly global audience. It’s not unusual for clients to have us sell previously unsold goods from their auction house antics, only for us to achieve prices far in excess of what the auction house was capable of. That applies to very specialist items too – the modern day collector will always search on eBay.

Where can I see my eBay listings?

Click on the ‘Live Auctions’ tab on our home page, and you’ll be taken straight to the ‘Sell for You’ eBay shop, where our current live lots can be viewed. Try and watch the last 5 minutes of auctions if you’re able, and you’ll typically witness a bidding frenzy as buyers wait as long as possible before battling to win those goods!
